General Information
- Birthday and Special Event Greetings at Sharks Games: Please check the following link for more information about birthday and other special event greetings at Sharks games http://www.sjsharkie.com/appearances/.
- Doors Opening Times: Doors open 75 minutes before the scheduled start time for Sharks games and usually 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time for most other events. Once a guest has entered the Pavilion, he/she cannot exit and re-enter unless there are extenuating circumstances that have been approved in advance by the Ushering supervisor. Re-entry is also granted to those using the designated smoking areas. The scheduled door opening time for each event is listed in the Schedule information at Schedule.
- Food and Beverage Service: Depending on the event, the number of food and beverage stands on the Concourse and the Comerica Bank Club varies. Food service includes typical concessions offerings such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, nachos, pretzels, popcorn and ice cream as well as specialty foods such as salads, sushi, BBQ, Mexican, fried chicken, fried shrimp, carved sandwiches and pasta. Beverages include coffee, tea, soft drinks, water, malt drinks and beer (draft, domestic, imported and microbrews) as well as full liquor service (spirits and wine).
- Guest Comment Cards: While HP Pavilion strives to provide the best entertainment atmosphere in the industry, there is always room for improvement. Therefore, guest comment cards are available at both Information Desks on the Concourse level. Your comments and suggestions provide us with the best way to serve you better. Guests may also provide comments and/or suggestions through the website using the “Contact Us” link.
- Guest Services: HP Pavilion Information Desks are located on the Concourse level at both entrances. If you have an issue or question during an event, please report it to the nearest usher or Information Desk. Our mission is to solve issues before they become problems. Our Ushering supervisors will do all possible to correct the situation and/or make a guest accommodation.
- Hotel Information: There are a number of hotels in the local area for out-of-town guests when attending an event at HP Pavilion. The three closest hotels to HP Pavilion are the Hotel DeAnza (408-286-1000), the Arena Hotel (408-294-6500) and the San Jose Sports Arena Travelodge (408-295-0159). - Infant Tickets: Any child older than 23 months must have a ticket to enter HP Pavilion. The child must sit on the lap of the parent or guardian without interfering with other guests. Some events, which are geared toward young children, require that children older than 11 months have a ticket as well.
- Lost and Found: For claiming or reporting lost articles, please contact the Event Office on the Concourse level at section 128 during the event or call the HP Pavilion Security department at 408-999-5847 after the event.
- Paging: No paging of guests by name is possible except in cases of extreme emergency. In such cases, contact the Event Office on the Concourse level at section 128 or call 408-287-7070.
- Restaurant Information: The Grill at HP Pavilion is open for all Sharks and SaberCats games in addition to many large concerts. Reservations are suggested by calling 408-999-6800 (walk-ins are accepted if space is available). Additional information and a sample menu can be found at The Grill at HP Pavilion . - Restrooms: There are five men's and five women's restrooms serving the upper and lower seating areas on the Concourse level. The building's toilet facilities significantly exceed industry standards. Baby changing tables and accessible facilities are located in all restrooms.
- Seating Configuration: Seats are numbered from right to left from the guest’s perspective. The number of seats in each row varies, depending on the section. For concerts, floor seating sections are also numbered from right to left from the guest’s perspective. The number of rows on the floor depends on the setup, ranging from 25 to 50 rows. Please note that the seating on the floor is flat with no ramping from front to back. Except for the first three rows on the floor, each floor row has 14 seats. - Souvenirs: There are numerous souvenir points of sale at HP Pavilion merchandise stands on the Concourse and Comerica Bank Club, including a full-line Sharks merchandise store located near the Santa Clara Street entrance. The store is open Monday through Saturday, 11am-5pm during the season as well as during all Sharks, SaberCats and Stealth games.
- Ticket Office: The HP Pavilion Ticket Office schedule can be found at Ticket Office Hours. There are no service charges for tickets purchased at the HP Pavilion Ticket Office. Will call tickets may be picked up at the South Ticket Office on Autumn Street no earlier than two hours before the scheduled start time of the event. A government issued, photo ID is required for identification. Will call tickets cannot be picked up at the North Ticket Office near the main parking lot.
- Tours: Tours of HP Pavilion are available Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. throughout the year. The tour highlights the Penthouse Level, including access into a Penthouse suite, a walk around the Comerica Bank Club, as well as access to the bowl area at ice level and a visiting team locker room.
